journey through the dawnland

The third annual Wabanaki Homelands Scavenger Hunt feature CRMS fifth grade art at Aldermere Farm and signage at the Camden Public Library made in partnership with CRMS students. Get your travel log and read about the project here!

The "Journey Through the Dawnland" is designed to help learners of all ages explore and celebrate Wabanaki culture, ecology, and history across Maine. Participants use a physical booklet or printed travel log to collect stamps at participating sites, answer questions, and win prizes.

Thank you to the fifth grade team, Kristen Andersen, and Marsha Norwood for bringing student projects into the real world in a meaningful and impressive way, and to Heather Butler for her work with the Maine Department of Education and Wabanaki leaders to integrate Wabanaki Studies into our programming and to help other schools do so across the state.
